Zevenhuizen
Zevenhuizen, an authentic village in the middle of South Holland. Zevenhuizen has about 9000 inhabitants. This number is growing, as more is being built than ever before. The cozy village has a number of historic buildings that have now also been bombed into monuments. Zevenhuizen was born in the Koornmolengat. There used to be 7 farms here, to which Zevenhuizen also owes its name. Nice detail: Recreatiepark de Koornmolen is located at the approximate location where the 7 farms must have stood. The village has been moved and there is a lot to experience in the village itself. Zevenhuizen has a supermarket and many dining options (see activities). The Dorpsstraat is cozy and pleasant. On the first Saturday of September, the entire region goes out for the harvest festival, a must! This event has 30,000 visitors almost every year. At the harvest festival there is music, a catering square, you can view old crafts and there are fun activities for the children. Zevenhuizen is about 2 kilometers away from the Koornmolen.
